Zee TV's "Tashan-E-Ishq," which completed one year of successful run recently, is set to go off air soon. The popular show will telecast its last episode on Sept.16.
Actors like Sidhant Gupta, Zain Imam and Jasmine Bhasin rose to popularity with the show. Recently, Zain, who plays the role of Yuvraj, took to his Instagram account to send out an emotional message expressing his gratitude to his fans for having supported him throughout his journey on the show.
"I am definitely gonna miss my Tashan-e-ishq which we all constructed brick by brick
Just wanted to thank all the people involved with it and also importantly to all my fans for being lovelie pillars of strength [sic]" he posted. [Read the full message here]
Apparently, the show witnessed a decline in its rating ever since its lead actor, Sidhant Gupta aka Kunj, quit the show to participate in the ongoing dance reality show, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9," and Naman Shaw stepped into his shoes. Although viewers gradually started liking Naman and his chemistry with the lead actress, Jasmin Bhasin (Twinkle), the storyline failed to keep them engrossed.
While viewers are disheartened with the news, the makers have apparently decided to pull the plug as they didn't want to unnecessarily drag the storyline.
A source from the production house had told India Forums: "The show will end after completing a year-long run. We felt that it was better to pull it off air than keep dragging it unnecessarily. We expected the ratings to get affected after Sidhant's exit from the show, but the viewers started liking Naman."
