Actor Tarun Arora is set to make his debut in Telugu films with megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150. The actor, who considers this offer an achievement, says he feels lucky and blessed to work with Chiru.
Khaidi No 150, which marks the comeback of Chiranjeevi to big screen, is an official remake of Vijay's Tamil blockbuster film, Kaththi. Tarun Arora has been signed up to play the antagonist's role, which was originally played by Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. "I feel lucky and blessed to be working alongside Chiranjeevi sir. This is the best Telugu debut and I consider it a sort of an achievement," Tarun told IANS.
He added that VV Vinayak, who is directing Khaidi No 150, has made some changes in the character played by Neil in the Telugu remake. "Although the makers haven't made many changes to the original character, their take on it will be different. I play a sophisticated villain and you will only see me in suits throughout the film," he said.
The actor says that he followed director's instructions while playing the role. "I had watched the original and liked how Neil played the character. However, I went by the director's vision and played the role exactly the way he wanted me to," Tarun said, adding "Vinayak is very encouraging and so is the rest of the young team. Everything is being handled very professionally and that's a relief."
Chiranjeevi is playing dual roles in Khaidi No 150. Actress Kajal Aggarwal appears as his love interest. Shriya Saran is also playing a crucial role in the movie, while Raai Laxmi makes special appearance in an item song. The movie, which is nearing the completion of the shooting , is slated for worldwide release during Sankranti festival in 2017.
