"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" box office success has become the talk of the town. After becoming the first women oriented film to cross the ₹100 crore mark, the box office collection of Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan starrer "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" has shattered the records of Shah Rukh Khan's movies.
The second weekend box office collection of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" has broken the records of Shah Rukh's highest grosser "Chennai Express".
When compared to movies released before 2015, the second weekend box office collection of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" stands fifth, pushing down "Chennai Express" and "Happy New Year" collections, according to Bollywood Hungama.
"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" recorded ₹28.3 crore (second Friday ₹6.65 crore, Saturday ₹9.4 crore and Sunday ₹12.25 crore) in its second weekend, whereas Shah Rukh's "Chennai Express" recorded ₹25.23 crore and "Happy New Year" accumulated ₹22.23 crore.

Chennai Express: Friday ₹6.5 crore, Saturday ₹8.51 crore and Sunday ₹10.22 crore
Happy New Year: Friday ₹5.26 crore, Saturday ₹7.46 crore and Sunday ₹9.51 crore.
The second weekend biggest grosser list has Aamir Khan's "PK" and "Dhoom 3", Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3" and Salman Khan's "Kick" in the top slots.
Meanwhile, this year Kangana's film holds the top position with highest second weekend box office income followed by Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer "Piku" and Akshay Kumar's "Baby".
