Kangan Ranaut, who has become one of the most sought after actresses of B-Town these days – after her hugely successful films "Queen" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" – has reportedly signed another big project.
The gorgeous actress is likely to play the lead role in Hansal Mehta's upcoming film "Simran".
If reports are to be believed, "Simran" is inspired by the real-life story of an Indian-origin nurse Sandeep Kaur from the US, who earned the sobriquet of "Bombshell Bandit" for her string of bank robberies in three states in the country.
Kangana, who is known for playing female-centric films, has apparently given her nod to the film.
If the deal is sealed, the talented actress will be seen in a rough-and-tough avatar after playing a vicious dacoit in "Revolver Rani".
"The film is based on Sandeep Kaur, who pulled off a series of heists in three American states. It will be shot entirely in the US and will go on the floors in October. As Kangana is currently busy with other projects, Hansal will make an announcement just before the film takes off. This time, they want to remain guarded as the Sarabjit biopic did not work out for them." a source told Mid-Day.
Meanwhile, the National Award winning actress will soon be seen in Nikhil Advani's "Katti Batti" opposite Imran Khan. Directed by Nikhil Advani, "Katti Batti" is said to be a contemporary love story between two different people and will hit theatres on 18 September.
