Kangana Ranaut may have delivered two box office duds, "Revolver Rani" and "Ungli", last year, but her stellar performance in Vikas Bahl 's "Queen" made up for it. Recently honoured with the National Award in the comedy-drama segment, the actress is all set to charm the audience with her quirky new act in Aanand L Rai's "Tanu Weds Manu Returns".
While her presence is good enough to draw full houses, there are a few more reasons why this upcoming rom-com is worth your time and money.
Kangana Ranaut in a Double role
With unmatched acting skills and fine taste in fashion, she is already too hot to handle. Now, to watch two Kanganas unleash their acting skills on the big screen would definitely be a treat.
Haryanvi Accent
The trailer has scenes in which she speaks fluent Haryanvi and not for once does it sound like it's been worked on or that she's just rambling away. But, it didn't come easy for her. "It was very tough, especially since the character has a Haryanvi accent. I had to make the character convincing not only through my body language but also accent," she told IANS.
R Madhavan
This South star was last seen in "Jodi Breakers" alongside Bipasha Basu. Because the film failed to create any stir at the box office or even otherwise, this extremely-talented actor gradually went off every movie enthusiast's radar. But to see him on the big screen again, will surely be a treat.
Aanand L Rai
Coming from the director of "Tanu Weds Manu" and "Raanjhanaa", one could expect a lot of romance, laced with subtle, everyday humour. His previous directorials were appreciated for its rustic charm and simplicity. This one too doesn't appear to be too extravagant, which is why it's more relatable than the films we have been witnessing of late.
Music Album
Composed by Tanishk-Vayu & Krsna Solo, "Banno" song is already on the top of the charts. And with singers of the top order such as Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Ankit Tiwari among others, the album will surely leave a lasting impression.
Slated for a 22 May release, Jimmy Shergill, Swara Bhaskar, and TV actor Eijaz Khan can also be seen in supporting roles.
