Mohanlal, the Superstar of Mollywood, is now busy with the shooting of his new mega-budget movie 'Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham' which is being directed by ace filmmaker Priyadarshan. The shooting of the movie is currently progressing in Hyderabad, and the makers have apparently erected a huge set to shoot sequences from large shipping boats.
The recent news from the corner is regarding an addition in the star cast. As per reports, Arjun Sarja, the South Indian action king, has joined the shooting sets of the movie, and he will be playing a crucial role in this historic flick. However, the makers are yet to reveal the character which Arjun will portray in the movie.
The makers of 'Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham' are planning to shoot the movie in a pan-India scale. Earlier, they had roped in Bollywood superstar Sunil Shetty to play a pivotal role in this film, while Pranav Mohanlal will play an extended cameo.
The supporting star cast in this movie includes big names like Mukesh, Hareesh Peradi, Siddique, Prabhu Ganesan, Keerthy Suresh and Kalyani Priyadarshan. The film is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor in the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
This is not the first that Arjun is playing a crucial role in a direct Malayalam movie. Previously, the actor has played the role of the male protagonist along with megastar Mammootty in 'Vande Matharam'. However, the film failed to make any impacts at the box-office, and it emerged as a box-office dud.
Arjun Sarja is now awaiting the release of his new bilingual movie directed by SS Sameer. The film is named 'Kontract' in Telugu and Kannada, while it will be released in Tamil as 'Iruvar Oppantham'. Another movie of Arjun which is awaiting release is 'Kurukshetra'.
'Kurukshetra' is a Kannada epic movie directed by Naganna based on Mahabharata. The film features an ensemble cast including Darshan, Ambarish, V. Ravichandran, Arjun Sarja, Nikhil Kumar, Sneha, Meghana Raj, Saikumar Pudipeddi and Sonu Sood. As per reports, Arjun will be seen playing the role of Karna in this movie.
