Karthi's Kaashmora, Dhanush's Kodi and Vijay Antony's Saithan, which are the most awaited Tamil films, are slated to be released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on October 28. They will clash with each other at the Tollywood box office this Diwali season.
Kaashmora is a dark fantasy film, which has been written and directed by Gokul. Karthi, who has huge fanbase in the Telugu-speaking states, is playing the lead role, while Nayantara and Sri Divya appear as heroines in the film, which has Santhosh Narayanan's music. The promos of the movie, which have been released with the same title in Telugu, have garnered lot of attention.
Kodi is a political thriller film, which has been written and directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar and produced by Vetrimaaran under his banner Grass Root Film Company. Dhanush, Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran are playing the lead roles in the film, which has Venkatesh's camera work and Santhosh Narayanan's music. It has been dubbed in Telugu as Dharma Yogi.
Saithan is a psychological thriller film and it is dubbed in Telugu and released as Bethaludu along with the original. Directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, the film features Vijay Antony and Arundhathi Nair in the lead roles. Besides acting, Vijay Antony has also composed music for the film, Pradeep Kalipurayath handled cinematography. The success of Vijay's Bichagadu has created a lot of curiosity about this film.
Kaashmora, Kodi and Saithan belong to different genre and their promos, which have created lot of curiosity, show that they deal with interesting stories. The lead actors of all the three Tamil films are popular and have good fanbase in the Telugu-speaking states.
Since there is no straight Telugu release, Kaashmora, Kodi and Saithan are released in larger number of cinema halls in the Telugu-speaking states.
