Asin Denies Marriage Rumours
Actress Asin Thottumkal has denied rumours suggesting that she is marrying an NRI. Recent reports suggested that the actress is not signing any movies ahead of her impending marriage to a US citizen but, the Kerala born actress, whose popularity soared with the movie "Ghajini," has denied the news, citing it as mere rumours.
Speaking to Sify.com in an interview the actress said: "It is merely a figment of someone's imagination running wild. I think the best thing is to ignore such baseless rumours and move on."
According to Sify, the actress will soon sign a big Bollywood flick.
Two Dhanush Films Set to Release Soon
Here is good news for "Kolaveri Di" fame Dhanush's fans. The actor will have two back-to-back films released within the first half of this year. His upcoming Tamil flick, "Mariyaan" with director Bharath Bala is expected to be released in the first half of this year, suggesting that the film might have a May or June release. The film stars Malayalam actress Parvathy Menon as the female lead.
His much-anticipated debut Hindi film, "Raanjhnaa" with Sonam Kapoor is set to release on 28 June. Confirming the news, the actor tweeted: "Mariyaan vil release before d first half of this year. Raanjhana releases on June 28th.vil talk 2 my director about releasing a teaser soon."
The multi-talented actor's fans will be in for a real treat this year, seeing him donning different hats as a singer, producer as well as an actor. After crooning smashing hit songs like "Kolaveri Di," Dhanush is all set to sing in his brother's upcoming film "Irandam Ulagam."
Besides that, he will be producing his brother's next film under his production house Wunderbar Films. "Very proud 2 announce dat selvaraghavan will b directing his next film for my production house wunderbar films. cast 2 be decided soon," Dhanush posted a message on his twitter page.
Vijay's "Thalaivaa" Final schedule in Australia
The shooting of actor Vijay's new film "Thalaivaa" is progressing at a brisk pace, with the film's Mumbai schedule being wrapped up.
According to latest reports, the final schedule of the film, which is one of the most-anticipated films of 2013, will be shot in Australia in the upcoming weeks. Vijay and the film's team will be leaving for Sydney on 20 March.
"Thalaivaa" is directed by "Theivathirumagal" fame A.L. Vijay. Actress Amala Paul plays the female lead. The rest of the star cast includes Satyaraj, comedian Santhanam, Ragini Nandwani, Ponvannan and Abimanyu Singh.
Acclaimed cinematographer Nirav Shah wields the camera for the movie. Music is by A.R. Rahman's nephew G.V. Prakash. The film's audio release is expected to happen in April or in the first week of May.
"Ilayathalapathy" Vijay's next film is "Jilla," by debutant director Nesan. Kajal Agarwal, who played the female lead in Vijay's "Thuappaki," once again teams up with the actor for "Jilla." The film's shoot has not yet begun, but the makers are planning for a 2014 pongal release.
Geetha Basra to Romance Comedian Santhanam
Reports have emerged that popular comedian Santhanam will romance B-town girl Geeta Basra for the Tamil remake of Hindi film, "Son of Sardar," starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha.
Santhanam, who romanced north Indian actress Vishakha Singh in his last outing "Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya," is reportedly in talks with Geeta to play the female lead for his upcoming comedy film.
"Yes, I have been offered the 'Son Of Sardaar' (the Hindi version of Telugu film 'Maryada Ramanna') remake. Talks are in the final stages but I'm most likely to do it," Geeta told the Times Of India.
Geeta, who is said to be dating cricketer Harbhajan Singh, has acted in a couple of Hindi movies. It will be the first time that the UK-born actress will be part of a south film.
