Tamil actor Pandiarajan's son Prithvi Rajan got engaged to Akshaya Premnath at a ceremony in Chennai on Sunday, 6 September.

Many south Indian celebrities, including Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Jeeva, Sibiraj, Vairamuthu, Gnanasambandam, Radhika Sarathkumar, Suseendran, Seetha, Manobala, JSK, Mohan Raja and Tamil poet and lyricist Vairamuthu, among others, attended the function.

Newly married couple Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Keerthy also graced the occasion.

Pandiarajan's second son Prithvi made his film debut with Pandiarajan's directorial venture "Kaivantha Kalai" in 2006 .

As for Akshaya, the bride-to-be has acted in Jude Anthony Joseph's hit film "Ohm Shanthi Oshaana" as Nazriya Nazim's friend Neethu. The film, which also had Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Renji Panicker, Anju Kurian among others, became a box office success. Akshaya was appreciated by many for portraying her character in the movie.
