Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is reportedly set to romance producer Bellamkonda Suresh' son Srinivas in the Telugu remake of Sasikumar's hit Tamil movie "Sundarapandian".
It is reported that Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao is directing the Telugu remake of "Sundarapandian" and he has roped in Tamannaah for the female lead role in the film. "Tamannaah liked the script and expressed interest to be part of the movie. Discussions are on and the actress could soon come on board," The Times of India quoted a source, from the film unit, as saying.
Tamannaah was initially roped in to play the heroine alongside Bellamkonda Srinivas in Boyapati Srinu's next directorial venture. With this project put on hold due to some reason, she has agreed to work with him in Bheemaneni's film. "The pre-production work of the film is on and if everything falls in place, it could hit the floors in April," the source added.
Sundarapandian is the son of a rich landlord and spends most of his time with friends. His life takes an interesting twist when he comes forward to convey his friend's love to a girl Archana, who happens to be his ex-flame. What happens next will form the crux of the story.
The comedy drama is penned and directed by actor and producer M Sasikumar's former associate SR Prabhakaran. In 2013, the film was originally released in Kannada as "Rajahuli".
The Telugu version, "Sundarapandian", is said to be quite different from the original as director Srinivas has made lot of changes to the story. Bellamkonda Srinivas and Tamannaah will reportedly play the lead roles originally essayed by M Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon respectively. The makers are yet to make an official announcement about other cast and crew.
