Disha Vakani, who plays the role of Dayaben in popular comedy show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", tied the knot on Tuesday, 24 November.
The 37-year-old actress married Mumbai-based chartered accountant Mayur.
The wedding was reportedly a private affair, attended by the actress' close friends and relatives. However, a grand reception will be held on 26 November where the entire cast of the TV show are expected to be attendance.
"Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah" producer Asit Modi had earlier told Hindustan Times Disha wanted a simple wedding, would continue her role in the show after marriage. "But she will continue to work as passionately as ever for our show. In fact, she shot for a major chunk before taking leave for the wedding," said the producer.
While speculation regarding Disha's wedding was doing the rounds, her co-actors were surprisingly unware of her wedding plans.
"She has never admitted to it, so we are not sure what is happening. It's her personal life, and she has the right to tell who she wants. Though we are all very professional on the sets and interact during the scenes, we hardly talk otherwise. She is very guarded, and we respect that," a source from the show told the daily.
Disha shared some pictures of her wedding on her Instagram account. In the pictures, the actress looked gorgeous in traditional Gujarati attire and heavy Kundan jewellery .
