Cricket will go football-style at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from tomorrow (December 14) as some of the top stars will battle it out in the T10 Cricket League (TCL).
Virender Sehwag is the lone Indian in the newest tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"6 teams. 10 overs. 90 minutes. The teams are arriving in style, filled with the greatest cricketers, all set to change the dimension of the game. Watch the #DesertStorm, from December 14th-17th at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium," the official Twitter page of TCL said.
It will be football-style because the matches will last for 90 minutes, same as football games.
Maratha Arabians, Punjabi Legends, Bengal Tigers, Kerala Kings, Pakhtoon and Team Sri Lanka Cricket are the sides which will be seen in action from Thursday. The tournament ends on Sunday (December 17).
Sehwag, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Eoin Morgan and Sarfraz Ahmed are the "Icons" in the tournament.
