T-Series has been having a profitable period with back to back successful releases. After "Airlift" and "Sanam Re," the production company is now geared up to release five more Bollywood movies in 2016 and 2017.
Bhushan Kumar-owned T-Series ended 2015 with the release of erotic thriller "Hate Story 3," followed by the release of "Airlift" and "Sanam Re" in the start of 2016. Now T-Series is ready to come up with five films -- three in 2016 and two in 2017.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer "Sarbjit" is the next immediate film to be released by T-Series. Based on the life of Sarabjit Singh, who was allegedly convicted of espionage by a Pakistani court, "Sarbjit" has been co-produced by T-Series, Pooja Entertainment and Films Ltd, Legend Studios. Directed by Omung Kumar, "Sarbjit" will hit screens May 20 and it is one of the most anticipated movies of 2016.
Two more T-Series produced movies of 2016 are "Tum Bin 2" and "Wajah Tum Ho." Directed by Anubhav Sinha, "Tum Bin 2" will be released Nov. 18 while Vishal Pandya's "Wajah Tum Ho" will hit the screens Dec. 2.
T-Series has two more exciting projects at the start of 2017 -- "Baadshaho" and "Raabta." "Baadshaho" starring Ajay Devgn will be directed by Milan Luthria and will be released Jan. 26. On the other side, "Raabta" brings the fresh pairing of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, "Raabta" will be released Feb. 10.
"Hate Story 3," starring Zareen Khan, Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi and Daisy Shah, had a fair run at the box office with a collection of over Rs 50 crore. While Akshay Kumar starrer "Airlift" was a super-hit with box office business of over Rs 100 crore, Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam's "Sanam Re" performed average at the box office.
