Syrias White Helmets nominated for Nobel Peace prize
Syrias White Helmets are an army of volunteers over 3000 strong, who help rescue civilians after airstrikes and attacks. They have been nominated for a Nobel Peace prize by over 130 organisation and people around the world. Former bakers, tailors, engineers, painters and pharmacists are among the organisations members, who pledge to help anyone in need regardless of religious or political affiliations.
