"Switched at Birth" has been on a mid-season hiatus since the airing of season 4 episode 10 titled "There is My Heart", wherein the most shipped couple of the show, Bay and Emmett, broke up.
Season 4 has been quite eventful and witnessed emotional turmoil for all characters; fans can expect more of the same in season 4B of the ABC series as well.
In the first part of season 4 of "Switched at Birth", both Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Katie Leclerc) encountered some serious issues, especially the former, who was sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend after they got drunk at a party.
Bay, however, feels partly responsible for what happened and tells as much to her then-boyfriend Emmett (Sean Berdy), who is unable to not hold Bay responsible for what happened.
In episode 10 "There is My Heart", he breaks up with her, leaving her heartbroken. Now, as fans are praying and wishing for Bay and Emmett to get back together in Season 4B, the creators are taunting us with a "set photo". In the supposed scene, Bay is in bed with her ex boyfriend Ty (Blair Redford).
Truthfully, Ty was a great match for Bay and treated her with respect and love, and the only reason they broke up was because he went joined the military. If he were to return single and with the hope of getting back to Bay, it would work out great; especially because she would be so lonely without Emmett. Regardless, we are still rooting for Emmett to realise how foolish he was and woo Bay back.
