Swipe Telecom has expanded its Halo tablet line-up with another budget tablet called Halo Value, priced at ₹6,990.
The Halo Value tablet is claimed to be the first 2G tablet in India with voice-calling facility and having Dual-SIM capability. The tablet, measuring 197x124x10.9 and weighing 335 grams, will join Swipe's Halo Tab X 74S, Halo Edge and Halo 3G in the series. It packs a 7-inch full-HD TFT LCD multi-touch capacitive display and is powered by a 1.5GHz processor. The tablet comes with the face-unlocking feature which allows users to access the tablet by using the face-recognition mechanism.
The tablet uses Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has 512MB DDRII RAM with internal memory of 4GB on board which is expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card slot. It also has support for Bluetooth 2.1, WIFI 802.11 b/g/n and 2G.
The tablet comes preloaded with apps such as Olive Office Premium, Ebook Reader and many other apps which cover games, entertainment, education and social networking. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3- megapixel snapper on the front. The tablet is available for purchase through online retailers and the company's official website.
Earlier in February, Swipe Telecom had rolled out two new phablets, Fablet F2 and Fablet F3, for ₹7,590 and ₹9,290, respectively. The company has also launched MTV Volt phablet in partnership with popular music channel MTV.
