Swipe Telecom, a Pune-based technology company released a brand new 5-inch Fablet F1 smartphone in Gujarat. The device is priced at ₹8, 990.
The company also unveiled a 7-inch dual-SIM tablet named 'Legend Tab'.
The two devices were specifically released in Gujarat because the company sees more opportunity to market their products in the state than any other parts of India.
"We see Gujarat as a critical market for our products. Our strength is in our innovation in technology products & value proposition & with providing customer with an affordable world class technology and offer delight in after sales as well. Gujarat presents us with the opportunity to move up in the value ladder & improve volumes as well," said Shripal Gandhi, Founder and CEO, SWIPE Telecom, as reported in Economic Times.
The Fablet F1 Tab is a cross between a smartphone and tablet. It is one of the cheapest hybrid smartphone in the Indian market which features Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS.
The Legend Tab is a dual-SIM tablet with 3G compatibility. The company claims that this tablet is India's first dual-core, dual-SIM tablet to run Android 4.0.
