Technology firm, Swipe Telecom has released a budget dual-core smartphone 'Sonic' in India.
The new Swipe handset, tentatively titled as Sonic, boasts EVDO (Evolution Data Optimization) technology which is said to boost Internet connectivity. It supports dual-SIM (GSM+CDMA) functionality with dual-standby mode.
Swipe Sonic flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA screen with 800x480p resolutions and runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon series CPU with 512MB RAM.
Other stipulated specifications include 2.0-megapixel main camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front camera,1500 mAh battery and also comes with standard wireless data connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and EDGE.
As of now, Swipe Sonic smartphone is currently available at an online store ShopClues for ₹7,399. It will be up against MNC brands like Samsung Galaxy Trend, Nokia Lumia 520, Sony Xperia E as well as domestic rivals Micromax MAd A94, Canvas Fun A76, Xolo A600, Lava Iris 503, Karbonn Titanium S5i and many more.
