US based technology firm, Swipe Telecom has released a low-cost tablet PC Halo Value Plus in India.
Halo Value Plus sports 7.0-inch WVGA display with 800x480p resolutions and runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the box.
The new budget tablet packs 1.2 GHz dual-core processors with 512MB RAM, 4GB in-built memory (expandable up to 32GB), 2.0-megapixel main camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) secondary camera and a 3000 mAh battery. On connectivity front, it boasts of a SIM slot, Voice calling feature, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Prospective buyers can book the Swipe Value Plus tablet on the company's official website for ₹6,699.
The budget Swipe device will compete against the prolific local players like Micromax Funbook 3G (P600), Videocon VT 75C, Karbonn Smart A34, HCL ME U2 & Connect 2G, Lava E-Tab and more.
Two months ago, the company has released a co-branded 3G Calling tablet Swipe MTV Slate. It features 7.85-inch IPS HD (1024x768p) screen and is powered by quad-core processor with 1GB DDR 3 RAM. It is currently available at online stores for around ₹12,999.
