Swipe Halo Fone 3G Voice-Calling Tablet Launched In India; Price, Availability Details

Technology firm, Swipe Telecom expanded its Halo tablet portfolio in India with the launch of its new Android device, called the Halo Fone.

Priced at ₹6,999, the Halo Fone is exclusively retailed through the e-commerce website Flipkart. Talking of the specifications of the tablet, it sports 6.5-inch display which offers a 480x800 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It packs 4GB of internal storage which can be further expanded upto 32 GB with microSD card and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box OS.

The Swipe Halo Fone comes equipped with 2.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash on the rear side and 0.3-megapixel camera on the front. The tablet supports dual SIM functionality and comes loaded with 2800 mAh battery, which claims up to 6 hours of talktime and 150 hours of standby mode. The device measures 183x101x9mm and weighs 235 grams and will be available in black colour variant. The connectivity suit of the Halo Fone includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G.

Earlier in March, Swipe launched budget dual-core smartphone 'Sonic' in India at ₹7,399. Swipe Sonic flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA screen with 800x480p resolutions and runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon series CPU with 512MB RAM. Other specifications include 2.0-megapixel main camera, 0.3-megapixel front camera, 1500 mAh battery.
