Viewers were disappointed when Colors' "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" (MATSH) went off air, but now they have a reason to rejoice. Colors' popular family drama show "Swaragini" will now have a run time of one hour.

"Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi," which was Colors' one of the popular shows, has gone off air. The last episode of the show, starring Shakti Arora as Ranveer and Radhika Madan as Ishaani, was aired on Feb. 19.

Balaji Telefilms' new show "Kasam" starring Ssharad Malhotra was supposed to replace "MATSH," but the show is not ready yet and will be aired only in March. Hence, to fill the half an hour time slot, the channel has decided to extend "Swaragini" time slot. "Swaragini" will now air from 9.30 to 10.30 p.m. for two weeks, Tellychakkar.com reports.

"Definitely, it is good news for us that our viewers are loving the show so much that the channel has decided to extend the time slot. Having said that I would like to add that the coming days are going to be really hectic as all of us have put a lot of efforts to maintain the quality of the series," Helly Shah, who plays the role of Swara in the show, told Tellychakkar.com.

Meanwhile, the new show "Kasam" will go on air on March 7. The storyline of Balaji Telefilms' new show is based on Punjabi backdrop.

"Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show on Colors will be based on Punjabi backdrop. The story will revolve around the filthy rich 'Canada return' Bedi family. Their elder son falls in love with a girl but soon tragedy strikes his love life, which makes him lose faith in love," a source told India-Forums.
