Colors' popular show Swaragini, which narrates the story of two sisters, played by Helly Shah and Tejaswi Prakash as Swara and Ragini respectively, is apparently going off air.
The show, which has had a good run with a huge fan following, is reportedly coming to an end in December. Apparently, the makers have showcased all possible storylines and don't intend to stretch it unnecessarily.
Swaragini will be replaced by Rajshri Productions' new show, Swabhimaan. "Swaragini will end in December, and will make way for the Rajshri Productions' show Swabhimaan," a source told Tellychakkar.com. However, when Helly was asked regarding the same, she said: "We have not heard of anything like this."
If the report turns out to be true, it will surely disappoint millions of fans of the popular show, who are hooked to the show. Swara and Sanskaar's (Varun Kapoor) amazing chemistry is also another reason for the show's success.
In the recent times, many popular shows came to an end. Ekta Kapoor's Kawach which had created a huge buzz due to its star cast, is set to go off air on November 20. A finite series, Kawach was expected to be as successful as Ekta's supernatural show Naagin. However, the show, starring Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya failed to live up to the viewers' expectations, resulting in a drop in its Television Rating Point (TRPs).
Other TV shows like Balika Vadhu, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Tashan-e-Ishq and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat also went off air owing to low ratings.
