Chelsea have started their Premier League season on a good note, with three wins under their belt, and are yet to drop points under new coach Antonio Conte. The Blues will be keen to maintain their impressive record as they are set to face Swansea City at Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
The Blues won the first two matches on a tight note, winning it 2-1 on both the instances, but they showed their true class in their last game, against Burnley FC. Chelsea looked a solid team offensively and defensively, which will please Conte, whose team won the match 3-0.
Chelsea have signed some good players including David Luiz in the dealing day to strengthen their backline. The visitors will be keen to see another great game from Belgian international Eden Hazard, who has been brilliant so far in the league.
If Chelsea are to challenge for the title, they will need players like Hazard, Diego Costa, Willian among others to get on the score sheet consistently. With the Spaniard striker back in form after scoring two goals for Spain against Liechtenstein, Costa will be keen to score goals for Chelsea on Sunday.
After the international break, Conte is quite pleased with the fitness of his players. Though Chelsea are favourites to win their fourth game on a trot, Chelsea will not take Swansea lightly.
"We know against Swansea it will be very tough. We face a team well-organised with a good manager. It's important to look at ourselves and not the others. Today we had the first training [this week] with all the players, because Willian arrived after training yesterday, but he had the possibility to have the same training with the assistant coach," club's official website quoted Conte as saying.
"I am happy because I saw all the players with good fitness. The players that remained in Cobham worked very hard, and the players that came back are fit."
Chelsea might have started the season splendidly well, but things are just the opposite for Swansea City. The home team have been poor this season. After their win against Burnely in first gameweek, Swansea have suffered back-to-back defeat, against Hull City and Leicester City. They clearly looked below par in their last two matches.
This match gives them a perfect chance to prove their mettle, but it is not going to be easy by any stretch of imagination despite playing at home. Swansea will look upon the services of their midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to provide quality balls to his forwards.
Borja Baston could also feature for the first time on Sunday after his thigh injury. He could partner Fernando Llorente upfront.
