Suzuki Motor Corporation has released a new promotional video of its upcoming S-Cross facelift, giving auto enthusiasts a quick look at the model in its new avatar. The S-Cross facelift, which is set to go on sale in the European market in September, is expected to reach Indian shores in 2017.
The S -Cross facelift, one of the highly anticipated models this year, has been hitting the headlines for quite a while now. The model, which was previewed in Hungary earlier this month, was recently also spotted in red body shade. The promotional video of the S-Cross facelift shows the model from virtually every possible angle.
The S-Cross, in its new avatar, boasts new front fascia with re-styled front bumper and larger radiator grille. The grille at the front now houses vertical chrome slats and new projector headlamps with daytime running lamps. While the side and rear profile of the S-Cross remain untouched, the cabin of the crossover features like new instrument cluster dials with MID and new seat upholstery with contrast stitching.
A major change is likely to be under the hood of the S-Cross facelift. In the international market, the crossover will now employ Suzuki's 1.4-litre Boosterjet petrol engine, which can churn out 139bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. Currently, in the international markets, the S-cross is sold with the options of a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine. In India, the S-cross is likely to be sold with the same 1.3-litre and the 1.6-litre diesel engine, which does duty in the existing model.
