Suzuki Corporation unveiled the special edition of India-bound Ignis compact SUV christened as Water Activity concept ahead of the debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 starting on 15 January.
A delight for fishing enthusiast, the Ignis Water Activity concept comes with a canoe draped in orange colour on the roof. The orange colour is complemented at the ORVMs, front grille, body claddings and outer ring of the alloy wheels. To give the car a sporty look, the alloy wheels come in black and the body color is finished in matte khaki green metallic. The exterior is finished with a dedicated decal. Suzuki claims the interior has also adopted the color of orange and khaki for various parts.
Suzuki previously unveiled a rugged version of the Ignis named Trail concept at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015. The rugged version features bigger tyres and beefed-up wheel arches with mouldings stressing its off-road DNA with 4x4 layout. The car featured red graphic line at the shoulder-line and fog lamp housing. The headlamp and grille cluster is also outlined in red graphics.
The regular version of the Ignis is one of the important launches next year in India. Unveiled at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki Ignis compact SUV is expected to make its India debut in September 2016. The Ignis will measure 3,700mm in length, 1,660mm in width, 1,595mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,438mm. The vehicle will be pitched against rival Renault Kwid hatchback and the upcoming Mahindra KUV100 in terms of pricing and dimensions. Maruti Suzuki Ignis will make its debut in India at the upcoming Auto Expo, 2016.
