Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the fuel injection (FI) equipped Gixxer SF model at Rs 93,499, ex-showroom Delhi. The company had showcased the model at Auto Expo 2016, but sales will be limited to nine metro cities for now.
The Gixxer SF FI will be sold only in MotoGP edition coloured variant equipped with rear disc brakes in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. The fuel injected variant remains the same as the regular Gixxer SF in terms of style and features. The only omission in the FI version is the kick starter liver.
With FI technology in place, the new version is expected to offer better fuel efficiency and optimal throttle response than the carburetted version which is priced nearly Rs 4500 lesser.
The Gixxer SF is powered by a 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out maximum power output of 14.6bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm mated to five-speed manual transmission.
Seated on a wheelbase of 1,330mm, Suzuki Gixxer SF measures 2,050mm in length, 785mm in width and 1,035mm in height. The bike has a kerb weight of 139kg. Suzuki Gixxer SF gets features like LED tail lamps, clear-lens indicators and digital instrument cluster.

The company also launched the special edition of the Gixxer range christened as Gixxer SP earlier this week. The naked version of the special edition has been priced at Rs 80,726, while the fully faired SF version costs Rs 88,857, ex-showroom Delhi. The SP edition features Matt Fibroin Grey and Glass Sparkle Black combination colours with classic race inspired graphics.
