Suzuki Motorcycle India is reportedly planning to launch the new Gixxer SF FI in the next financial year. The Gixxer SF FI (fuel injected), which made its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, is the new variant of Gixxer SF, which is already in the market.
BikeAdvice, citing Suresh Babu, national head of marketing and product planning, Suzuki Motorcycle India, revealed that the Gixxer SF FI can be expected anytime from April this year. The Gixxer SF FI was part of Suzuki's pavilion at the auto show along with the Access 125 and Gixxer with rear disc brake.The fuel injected variant remains the same as the regular Gixxer SF in terms of style and features.
The Gixxer SF, a street sport-bike with stylish design, is powered by the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine. In the new version, the bike now gets fuel injection technology. The engine is tuned to churn out maximum power output of 14.6bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm.
Seated on a wheelbase of 1,330mm, Suzuki Gixxer SF measures 2,050mm in length, 785mm in width and 1,035mm in height. The bike has a kerb weight of 139kg. Suzuki Gixxer SF gets features like LED tail lamps, clear-lens indicators and digital instrument cluster.
Suzuki had recently launched the new Access 125 in India with a price tag of Rs 53,887 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Access 125, which competes with Honda Activa 125, Honda Aviator and Mahindra Rodeo, is powered by a124cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which can churn out power of 8.58bhp at 7,000rpm and peak torque of 9.8Nm at 5,000rpm.
