Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan, launched the special edition of its 125cc scooter the Access in the country on Friday, Sept. 9. The Access 125 special edition has been priced at Rs. 55,589 (ex-showroom Delhi).
While the new edition of Access 125 stays much within the style of the current model, it does get a few additional features, which would differentiate the model from the current Access 125. The special edition of the scooter has already started reaching the showrooms of the company, which is expected to commence the delivery soon.
Speaking of the changes in the new edition of the Access 125, it gets chrome-finished round rear-view mirrors and maroon seat along with brown footboard and special edition badges.
Powering the Access 125 special edition scooter is the same 124 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 8.58bhp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.8Nm at 5,000rpm. The braking is taken care of by disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The Access 125 gets telescopic forks suspension at the front and swingarm at the rear. It claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 64kmpl.
Other features in the Access 125 remain unchanged. It gets front pocket, mobile charging point, analog-digital instrument cluster and one press lock system. The Access 125 competes with Honda Activa 125, Honda Aviator and Mahindra Rodeo RZ in the Indian two-wheeler market.
The Access 125 special edition is available in drum brake and disc brake variants. While the former gets a price tag of Rs. 55,589, the latter comes for Rs. 58,900.
