Suspicious Partner episode 1 (premiere) preview: Watch The K2 star Ji Chang Wook as Noh Ji Wook

Suspicious Partner, the new Korean drama, will be premiered on SBS this Wednesday, May 10, at 10pm KST. It will revolve around the life of a prosecutor-turned-private attorney named Noh Ji Wook.

The male protagonist in the upcoming mini-series will be portrayed by The K2 star Ji Chang Wook, and the actor recently opened up about his role. According to him, it is a very entertaining show and he has lot of expectations from it.

"Because this is a romantic comedy I have a lot of anticipations and curiosity. The script is really entertaining and the actors were friendly so I think we were able to have a lot of fun on set," he said.

The actor also shared some details about his character in Suspicious Partner. He revealed that the chemistry between Noh Ji Wook and the female protagonist will keep the Korean drama lovers hooked to the screens.

"Whether it's his career or his life philosophy, he's very stubborn. His stubbornness comes from his uniqueness so I think the audience can relate to his charms. I think we'll be able to show off a good chemistry with Bong Hee in the drama," Chang Wook added.

The female protagonist in the SBS mini-series will be played by Shopping King Louie actress Nam Ji Hyun. Her character is described as a prosecutor trainee named Eun Bong Hee, who becomes a murder suspect.

"Bong Hee is surprisingly simple and cool. Overall she is very energetic, but she also has a very worldly side that takes care of her own profit. Of course she can be like a vitamin too. She is very bright and refreshing," the actress said.

Nam Ji Hyun also teased that she will be trying to show a different side of her in Suspicious Partner and that she is working hard for it. "I want to have a good time filming and show the audience something good," she added.

Meanwhile, director Park Sun Ho praised the actress and said that she surprised him with her performance. "Nam Ji Hyun's acting went above and beyond my expectations. Her synchrony with her character is 100 percent. She has great chemistry with Ji Chang Wook and her acting gave me strength as a director," Soompi quoted him as saying.
