Telugu movies "Aatadukundam Raa" and "Chuttalabbai" ("Chuttalabbayi") are set to be released in theatres on Aug 19. Young heroes Aadi and Sushanth will lock horns at the box office this week.
G Nageswar Reddy has written and directed "Aatadukundam Raa," which has been produced by Chinthalapudi Srinivas and A Naga Susheela. Anup Rubens has composed music for the soundtracks and background score of this movie. His songs, which were released recently, received good response from the audience and garnered good amount attention for the film.
Sushanth and Sonam Bajwa are playing the lead roles in the movie, while Brahmanandam, Vennala Kishore, Prudhvi Raj, Murali Sharma, Posani Krishna Murali, Raghu Babu, Sudha appear in the supporting cast. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni are making special appearances in the film.
"Aatadukundam Raa" is a romantic action entertainer. As per its trailer, the movie deals with a routine love story, while its screenplay is laced with all the commercial ingredients. Sushanth's action, his chemistry with Sonam Bajwa, and Brahmanandam, Vennala Kishore, Prudhvi Raj and Raghu Babu's comic timings are going to be the highlights of the movie.
"Chuttalabbai" is also a romantic action entertainer, which has been written and directed by Veerabhadram and produced by Venkat Talari. Aadi and Namitha Pramod are playing the lead roles in the film, while Abhimanyu Singh, Vamsi Krishna, Posani Krishna Murali, Ali Prudhvi Raj and Shakalaka Shankar essay supporting roles. Aadi's father Sai Kumar is playing a crucial role in the movie.
Shivakumar Thaman has composed music for the songs and background score of "Chuttalabbai." Its audio album was launched a couple of weeks ago and its soundtracks have created a lot of curiosity about the movie. Its trailer shows this film has a routine story and it is high on action, romance and comedy quotient.
"Aatadukundam Raa" and "Chuttalabbai" belong to the same genre and both of them have got U/A certificates from the censor board. Most of the supporting artistes in both the movies are the same. The films have been promotoed well, but the Sushanth starrer is a notch bigger than the Aadi starrer in terms of its screen count and star power and it is likely to get a bigger opening than the latter at the box office.
