Bollywood movie Raabta starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon has reportedly landed in legal trouble as the makers of SS Rajamouli's Magadheera have filed a plagiarism case against its producers.
Raabta is scheduled to be released in theatres around the world on June 9. But 18 days before its release, the makers of Magadheera have approached the court seeking an injunction to stall its release. The buzz on social media claims that they have alleged that the Hindi movie is a copy of Maghadheera's story.
The producers think that it is an unofficial remake of Maghadheera with only a few changes. Ramesh Bala, an expert from the southern film industry, tweeted: "BREAKING: #Maghadheera film makers go to court against #Raabta.. Seek an injunction against the film's release.. Story plagiarism charge.."

The Hyderabad court will hear the case on June 1. Ramesh Bala tweeted: "Magadheera film makers go to court against "Raabta" and seek an injunction against the film's release. They contend that the Raabta film copied its unique story and plotline in violation of its copyright. The Hyderabad court issued notice and posted the matter to 1st June to decide whether the film must be permitted to release on 9th June."

Raabta, which has been written by Siddharth-Garima is a romantic thriller film. Set against the backdrop of reincarnation, the movie is about a guy, who is in love with girl. But a sinister figure from their shared past threatens to separate them forever. How he beats the sinister figure to get his love forms the crux of the story.
The trailer of Raabta, which was released on YouTube on April 17, has received fantastic response with its views count reaching 32,653,775. After watching its trailer, some film-goers had felt that the movie must be inspired from or a copy of blockbuster Telugu movie Magadheera. They even expressed the same in the comment box. Hunk David wrote: "LooKs liKe inSpirEd frOm #maGadHeeRa."
Booman Lames commented: "Magadheera ka copy hai...magadheera bahubali director rajamouli ne banai hai...bolywood se kabhi acche content ki umeed mat rakha..agar accha content mile toh samjh jaana ki movie remake h ya fir copy."
