Tamil actor Karthi, brother of Superstar Suriya Sivakumar, has replaced Junior NTR in Akkineni Nagarjuna's mutli-starrer film, which is produced by PVP Cinemas and directed by Paidipalli Vamsi.
It was earlier reported that actor Junior NTR was roped in to star alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna in PVP's mutli-starrer film, which is yet-to-be titled. Now, PVP, one of the leading production houses of South India has released a press statement confirming the casting of Karthi in the movie, but it has not revealed the reason for dumping the young tiger, which has come as a shock for all NTR fans.
This multi-starrer film is a bilingual movie, which is simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. The production house has replaced Junior NTR because the makers want to have popular lead heroes in both languages. "Nagarjuna is popular in Tamil and Karthi is known to the Telugu audience. So we are planning to make a bilingual film," Deccan Chronicle quotes the statement of the production house.
After releasing last venture "Yevadu", which has become blockbuster at the box office, director Paidipalli Vamsi started working on the story of this multi-starrer film and he has recently completed the script. Currently, he is busy selecting the cast and crew. He is expected to announce all the details of the film and take it to the floor soon.
However, Nagarjuna is busy with the season 2 of his hit TV reality show "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu" and he has another film, titled "Soggade Chinni Nayana", lined up for shoot after the show. Meanwhile, Karthi is shooting for his upcoming Tamil film "Komban" and after completing it, he is likely to take this bilingual project. If everything goes as per plans, the film will hit the floor in February 2014.
