The trailer of Suriya's "Anjaan" has crossed the 10-lakh (one million) mark on video sharing site YouTube.
"Anjaan" trailer, which was released on 8 August, has received fantastic response from fans. The trailer gives us a glimpse of what to expect from the film. Looking at the video, one can expect the film to be a complete mass entertainer with all the commercial elements
"Anjaan" has been creating huge pre-release buzz. The film's first look poster, teaser and the songs are a big hit among the fans and the film's team has been aggressively promoting the gangster flick not just in Tamil Nadu, but also in neighbouring states.
The Suriya starrer is cleared with a "U" rating and the film is all set to hit screens on 15 August as a treat for Independence Day. "Anjaan" will reportedly be releasing in over 1,300 screens worldwide (including the Telugu version titled "Sikindar").
Distributor Abirami Ramanthan, who has acquired the Chennai distribution rights of "Anjaan," is releasing the film in record 37 screens across the city, according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai. Ayngaran International, which is releasing the film in the U.K., is planning to release the Suriya starrer in record 58 loactions across the county.
The advance booking for the film has commenced in several multiplexes and has received overwhelming response from fans.

Going by the latest reports, "Anjaan" is all set to take grand opening on Independence Day. While the gangster flick will not have a solo release, as Parthepan's "Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam" is also releasing on the same day, "Anjaan" is likely to be the first choice of public owing to Suriya's popularity among all sections of the audience.
The Telugu version of the film – "Sikindar"- is also releasing simultaneously with the Tamil version. "Sikindar" is set for a grand release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana areas as Suriya has a huge following among the Telugu-speaking audience. With no big Telugu releases, "Sikindar" is set for a good opening at the box office.
The film has been directed by Lingusamy and produced by Thirrupathi Brothers, UTV Motion Pictures. Suriya appears in dual role in the big budget entertainer, while Samantha plays the female lead. Soori, Manoj Bajpai, Vidyut Jamwal of "Thuppakki" fame and Brahmanandam are also a part of the film.
