In the last few days, the Tamil film industry has been abuzz with news that Suriya's film with Lingusamy is titled "Rowdy".
However, director Lingu has personally denied those reports terming them as false. He confirmed that the film is not named "Rowdy", adding that he will soon announce the title.
Lingusamy is busy penning the script for the flick, which will have Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the female lead.
After the success of "Singam 2", it was reported that Suriya had agreed to do two films with Lingusamy and Gautham Menon each.
The actor's film with Gautham has been put on hold as Gautham has not fixed his leading lady for the project, according to Indo Asian News Sevice. "Suriya knows what a perfectionist Gautham is. He wants to give him ample time for casting and will start shooting with him after he has his team in place," a source close to Gautham told the news service in July.
The Lingusamy directorial was expected to go on floors in August, but has been delayed. It is not known when the film's shooting will begin.
Even before the film could go on floors, there were a lot of speculations about Suriya's role in it. Buzz was that Suriya would play a doctor in the first half and turn into a cop in the second half. However, there is no official confirmation on the same. The film is touted to be a romantic story laced with action.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the songs, while Vijay Milton will handle the camera. The film is produced under Lingusamy's Thirupathy Brothers banner.
Expectations for the film are high as Suriya has teamed up with Lingu and Samantha for the first time.
