Tamil super hero Suriya Sivakumar, who began his career as an actor with "Nerukku Ner" in 1997, turns 40 on Thursday, 23 July.

Some of his important films include "Kaakha Kaakha" (2003), "Ghajini" (2005), "Vel" (2007), "Vaaranam Aayiram" (2008), "Ayan" (2009), "Aadhavan" (2009) and "Singam" (2010).

Suriya, who was last seen in Venkat Prabhu's "Massu Engira Masilamani" has a handful of projects, including "Haiku", "24" and "Singam III".
