Even as Suriya's upcoming film "Anjaan" is progressing at a brisk pace, buzz surrounding the actor's film with Venkat Prabhu has started to emerge.
It is well-known that Suriya will be teaming up with director Venkat Prabhu, who has a good track record of hit films in his kitty. Latest reports suggest that the film will have Suriya appearing in a dual role. Interestingly, it will not be the first time that the actor will appear in two roles.
In the past, Suriya has done double roles in a few films including "Perazhagan", "Vel", "Vaaranam Aayiram" and "Maattrraan." He appeared in the role of conjoined twins in "Maattrraan" which fetched him accolades from all quarters.
It is not clear as to what kind of dual characters will Suriya be playing in Venkat Prabhu's project. The film will be a fiction based fantasy film with scope for VFX, reported Behindwoods. An official announcement regarding the actor's character is yet to be made.
There is also buzz that the film has been tentatively titled as "Kalyana Raman." However, Venkat Prabhu has refuted the rumours and insisted that the title for the film is yet to be decided. "The film has not been titled yet. It is not 'Kalyanaraman'. We are still discussing what to title it," the director told Indiaglitz.
Venkat Prabhu has also revealed that the film might have a 3D version. "The film has been proposed to be shot in 3D. But nothing has firmed up as yet. If everything falls in place, we'll be coming up with a 3D version of the film," he told the website.
While Suriya has been confirmed to play the male lead, other cast and crew members are yet to be finalised.
