Actor Suriya, who is currently busy with the promotional activities of "Singam 2", is all set to begin the shooting of his next project, "Dhruva Natchathiram" next week.
The Suriya-Gautham Menon film will be their third after "Khaka Khaka" and "Vaaranam Aayirum."
Last year, there were reports that Gautham would do a film titled "Thuppariyum Anandan" with Suriya. The director has reportedly discussed scripts of two other films - "Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta" and "Dhruv Natchitharam" - with the popular actor apart from "Thuppariyum Anandan".
The actor-director duo has finalized the script of "Dhruva Natchitharam" and is set to begin the shooting on 17 June. The director is reportedly planning to produce a franchise with this upcoming film. The central character of the flick will be "Dhruv", according to a report in Behindwoods. The report said that actors Simran, Parthiban and Sudhanshu Pandey have already been confirmed for the project.
Rumours about the film's leading lady have also started doing the rounds. Actress Trisha is said to be the front runner to star opposite Suriya. If she takes up the offer, then it would be her third film with Suriya after "Mounam Pesiyadhe" and "Aaru."
Suriya is currently promoting his upcoming film, "Singam 2." He will reprise the role of a tough cop in the flick. Directed by Hari, the sequel has Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani in the female lead roles and Hollywood actor Danny Sapani donning the villain's role.
"Singam 2" is expected to be released either in the last week of June or first week on July. The Telugu dubbed version of "Singam 2" titled "Singam" (first part was titled "Yamudu") would be released simultaneously with the Tamil version.
