Rumours about Tamil actor Suriya being part of "Baahubali 2" had been doing rounds recently. The reports came on the grounds that Suriya showed his interest to be part of a film directed by SS Rajamouli at the Tamil audio launch of "Baahubali - The Beginning".
However, the film-maker has denied the rumours in a recent interview and confirmed that Suriya will not play any role in the second part of "Baahubali". He said that the crew have shot nearly 30-40% of the sequel and added that the crucial scenes that involves combination scenes of the actors are over. He also said the crew is left to shoot the film for another 120 days and will begin the schedule by September.
Meanwhile, the whole team is currently busy with the promotion of the first part, which is set for release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film will hit the screens on Friday, 10 July.
The star cast includes Prabhas as Baahubali, Rana Daggubati as Bhalladeva, Tamanna as Avanthika, Sudeep as Aslam Khan, Sathyaraj as Kattappa, Nasser as Pingalathevan, Prabhakar as Kalakkeya, Ramya Krishna as Shivagami and Anushka Shetty as Devasena.
The film's distribution in Telugu is being handled by Arka Media Works, Tamil by Studio Green and UV Creations, Malayalam by Global United Media and Hindi by Dharma Productions.
