Suriya and his wife Jyothika are reportedly getting ready to team up again. The "Ghajini" star had given a hint about it in a press meet recently and now it appears that they may collaborate on a movie in 2016 itself.
The Times of India reports that Suriya and Jyothika are discussing a project with Bramma of "Kuttram Kadithal" fame. But the director has not confirmed whether he is casting the couple in his next film. "Talks are on for my project with Jyothika, but there are a few things that we would like to keep confidential. Nothing is confirmed yet," the daily quotes the director as saying.
Sources close to Suriya told the publication that the script is not finalised yet. Suriya and Jyothika would like to work in full-fledged roles in the film. In all probability, the story will be finalised by May and the project will take off this year itself, the report adds.
Suriya and Jyothika have shared screen space a decade ago, in films like "Poovellam Kettuppar," "Uyirile Kalanthathu," "Kaaka Kaaka," "Perazhagan," "Maayavi," "June R" and "Sillunu Oru Kaadhal." They have been one of the most successful on-screen couples in Kollywood.
Suriya's Next Films
Suriya is currently busy with the shooing of his next film, "S3." It is the third instalment in the "Singam" franchise. The movie, which is written and directed by Hari, will be out on Diwali. The actor has paired up with Anushka Shetty and Shruthi Haasan in the film.
Meanwhile, his "24" is in the post-production stages and is getting ready for the audio release next week. The multilingual movie will be out in May.
On the other end, Jyothika, after a gap of seven years, returned to acting in "36 Vayadhinile" in 2015. She had taken a break from acting after getting married to Suriya.
