The sudden rise in deaths of peacocks in Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar has become a cause of concern for the officials. Several peacocks have died in the reserve in past two weeks.
Post-mortem reports of few peacocks have shown liver infection as the reason behind deaths. The officials are now investigating the mass death of the peacocks. "The peacocks have not been poisoned", said Veterinary Doctor, Saubhagya Deep.
