The 200th episode of "Supernatural," which will air on 11 November, is going to be a musical.
The episode is titled "Fan Fiction" and the trailer promises the episode to feature the boys' scariest challenge yet -- Singing. And one person who is really unhappy about the prospect of testing his vocals is Dean, who is no longer a demon.
"There's no singing in Supernatural," says Dean in the promo, which shows a bunch of high school students putting on a play based on the lives of the Winchester brothers.
Here's what the official synopsis reads: "When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the disappearance of a teacher, they are stunned to see the school is putting on a musical based on their lives. Familiar faces abound in this milestone episode"
So what can fans look forward to in the much-awaited 200th episode? A number of fan-favourite characters from the past will be represented in the episode, hints a spoiler. However, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will be the only two men in the whole episode, meaning Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard's characters of Castiel and Crowley will not be a part of episode 200.
The previous meta episodes of "Supernatural" have been unique, and the upcoming episode will live up to expectation, promises the cast of the series.
"As most of you know by now, the 200th is all about the fans, who will be putting on a show of the Carver Edlund books during the episode. 'Meta-fans are kind of saluting Sam and Dean, which allows them to kind of salute back," Padalecki explained to Entertainment Weekly.
Ackles added: "It's walking into a theater and seeing your life in pictures before you, but it's from the perspective of the fans of the series."
Meanwhile, CW has released the synopsis of the episode following "Fan Fiction," and it reintroduces Bobby.
As per the synopsis, Dean gets a surprise when he checks Bobby's cell phone and gets a message stating that Bobby or his next of kin have been named as a beneficiary in an heiress' will. Hoping to get their hands on the money, Dean and Sam hit the road, but "what they encounter at the house is far from a treasure chest."
