Ever since it released, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has had a good run from winning critical acclaim to being a hit with its fans. However, it has been reported that some players have had issues with the Wii U, which has been hit with an error code.
Nintendo has replied to these complaints on Miiverse, saying that it is faced only by a small percentage of Wii U owners and assured that it is investigating the issue.
"A small percentage of consumers playing Wii U may experience error codes (160-0103 and 160-1710) that could affect the ability of the system to function properly," said NintendoJulie. "We are investigating this issue now. Until the solution is available, anyone that experiences these error codes can call the Nintendo contact center at 1-800-255-3700 for help and repair,".
Some players complained that they have been experiencing the error code 160-0103. This error was not only resulting in breakages in the game, but in the console too. The issue is also related to the memory of the Wii U system, Nintendo Life reported.
The error message on the screen read, "There is a problem with the system memory. For help, make a note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com."
Though this error is allowing players to work on their consoles, only the game, Super Smash Bros and the data management screen seems to be affected.
Players trying to access data management are getting 160-1710 error code. Issues like console memory being wiped or bricking issues have popped up.
Though at this point it is not clear what is leading to these issues, Wii U owners were advised by IGN to exit the game before they remove the game disc or before they turn off the console. If players interfere with the console when it is saving data or loading will result in many issues.
