Nintendo has promised a new character reveal for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS on 14 July. A new challenger will be revealed via live-streaming on the official website, said the publisher.
Normally such reveals are done though Nintendo Direct, but this time, however, the character unveiling will be on the official website. It will done at 7 am US Pacific Time (4 pm European Central Time) on 14 July, said the Miiverse post.
"Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you'll enjoy watching it live," said Nintendo in the post. It was also mentioned that developers are "nearing the bottom of the stash" of new character videos.
Some of the recent additions announced by Nintendo are customizable Mii Fighters, Palutena (from Kid Icarus series) and Pac-Man.
But it is not yet known if Nintendo intends to bring a new face or will it bring a character from its previous editions. The Dallas Morning News has predicted the names of Ness, Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff who have been part of the previous Smash Bros. titles and who have not yet been confirmed in the new entry.
Some of the characters in the present Super Smash Bros. include Ike, Greninja, Charizard, Yoshi, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus, Diddy Kong, Little Mac, King Dedede, Rosalina and Luma, Sonic The Hedgehog, Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Donkey Kong and Pikachu, according to the list mentioned in the official website.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will be releasing on 3 October 2014 and the Wii U version does not have a release date yet but it has been promised for Holiday 2014.

Alternate Skins in Super Smash Bros.?
Is there a possibility of alternate skins in Super Smash Bros, well the answer to the question lies in the reveal of new costumes including one for Mario, who is seen wearing a patriotic US costume.
Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. revealed that the it was from a classic NES game, Family Computer Golf: US Course!
Apart from that the costume of Samus was Light Suit from the Metroid Prime series, revealed Attack of the Fanboy.
