Big banner movies clashing at the box office seems to be a norm these days. While Hrithik Roshan's "Kaabil" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" are locking horn next year, Sonakshi Sinha's "Akira" and Sunny Leone's "Beiimaan Love" will be released on the same date this year.
However, the films are entirely different from each other. Rajeev Chaudhari's "Beiimaan Love" is a romantic-thriller and A.R. Murugadoss' "Akira" is an action drama. They are both scheduled to be released on Sept. 2 and this is said to be an interesting clash as Sunny and Sonakshi are popular names in the film industry.
Interestingly, when a leading daily asked director-producer Rajeev about the clash, he said that he is not scared of competition. "I know 'Akira' releasing the same day, but Sunny has her own audience and is very popular as a heroine. If you see her track record, you will see she pulls in a good initial draw at the box-office. More than me, they should get scared," Rajeev told DNA.
"While I won't comment on someone else's film, I know our film is attracting curiosity. While Sunny will be seen in a brand new avatar in 'Beimaan Love' and fights for the upliftment of women, 'Akira' is more action-oriented. It's about Sunny's transition from a working girl to a business tycoon and will teach one to fall in love with their careers and not emotions. She will be seen in her hot avatar too but it will be shown aesthetically. She has performed as well as a Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor Khan," he added.
Sunny's "Beiimaan Love" is supposed to bring out the dark reality of today's love-relationships. On the other hand, Sonakshi will be seen in an action avatar in "Akira," which will also feature filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as the antagonist.
The "Dabangg" actress has worked really hard on her action sequences and has even learnt martial arts. She has been performing various stunts and recently also sustained an injury. Check out a picture shared by Sonakshi with bruises here:
