Comedian Sunil Grover is all set to emulate a new character, leaving behind the popular and much loved "Gutthi".
The versatile actor will soon be seen in the form of another playful character titled 'Kunwari' in Sony's upcoming dance reality show "Boogie Woogie", reported the Times of India.
Grover will reportedly don the funny role for a single episode and 'Kunwari' will be seen showing off her eccentric dancing skills to the show's judges Ravi and brothers Naved and Javed Jaffery.
Grover, who created quite a stir with his highly publicized exit from "Comedy Nights with Kapil" has finally revealed that money was the factor behind his ouster.
"Aur zyada mile isliye maine chora. (I left the show to get more money)," PTI quoted the actor.
Responding to Viacom 18's public notice of copyrighting Gutthi's character, Grover said that the character had not been invented, but was a compilation of many of his life's experiences.
"Gutthi has come from my experiences I had in my college. I used to study in Guru Nanak college and there we had only seven girls out of 4,300 boys. And girls in small towns mostly behave in the same manner the way I used to do in the show," said Grover.
"I have a special power to understand a human psyche. I just enter to a person's mind and try to enact them," he added.
Grover's act of Gutthi in "CNWK" fetched popular ratings and took the comedy show to new heights along with Kapil Sharma's witty role as the show's host.
With Grover's exit, the search for a new actor in Gutthi's role has begun and Rajesh Shrivastav and Navin Prabhakar's have been approached for the role. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
