Another celebrity kid is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Sunil and Mana Shetty's daughter Athiya wants to make her career in Bollywood.
According to recent reports, the 18-year-old is reportedly cast opposite Jackie Shroff's son Tiger in the Sajid Nadiadwala production "Heropanti".
Several filmmakers wanted to launch Athiya, but it's Sajid who convinced Shetty to play the female lead role in his upcoming film. Sajid is also launching Tiger in the film.
"Athiya apparently always wanted to make a career in Bollywood and even went to the New York Film Academy for a course in filmmaking. Both Suniel and Mana are said to be extremely supportive of their little daughter in her decision to pursue her career as an actress," IBN quoted a source as saying.
When asked Suniel Shetty about the reports, he told reporters to contact his manager who remained unavailable. But when the director of movie, Sabbir Khan, was asked the same question he said, "I'm yet to see the audition tapes, as I was out of town."
Apparently, when Sajid was starting his career as a producer with 1993 movie "Waqt Hamara Hai", Shetty along with Akshay Kumar played the lead role in the action comedy. The movie became a box office hit.
Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff made his debut with the 1982 film "Hero" and his son is ready to take his legacy forward with "Heropanti".
The movie directed by Sabbir Khan of "Kambakkht Ishq" is about a boy who lives life on his own terms and condition.
"Tiger's character in the film will be of a boy who lives life on his own terms. He doesn't want to and does not follow the set norms that have been laid down. He believes in living a life that is not just ordinary, so he is a little above the ordinary, hence the title Heropanti. Essentially, Heropanti is a romantic action film that despite being an intense love story is also high on action," Sabbir told Bollywood Life.
