Sundar C is leaving no stone unturned to bring the best technician on board for his next movie, which is likely to star Vijay. After signing art director Sabu Cyril of "Bahubali" fame, he has now roped in two-time Oscar Award winning musician AR Rahman to score the music for his flick, which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
"#ARRahman composing for a Sundar C film is a huge surprise. Trust the film to have serious scope, for ARR to give his nod. @ThenandalFilms. [sic]," journalist Kaushik LM tweeted. It is for the first time, AR Rahman is joining hands with the director.
The upcoming movie is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films and it will be the 100th flick made under the famous banner. The pre-production works for the film started seven months ago and technicians from all over the world, including the U.S., U.K., and Denmark, are working on the project.
Sundar C had recently revealed in an interview that the forthcoming film will be the costliest-ever film made in India and it means the budget of the film is higher than SS Rajamouli's "Bahubali" and Rajinikanth's upcoming "2.0."
As per the filmmaker, most big budget films see the remunerations of its actors forming 70 percent of its budget, while only 30 percent goes into the production. But it is vice-versa in case of their forthcoming film.
The makers are expected to formally announce the film in a few weeks. There were reports on Suriya and Mahesh Babu being front runners to bag the flick. Now, the buzz says that Vijay is a strong contender.
