Sundar C has spilled the beans on his upcoming mega-budget movie. But he has refused to reveal details about the cast of the film.
In an interview with a website, Sundar C has admitted that the movie, which is being produced by Sri Thenandal Films, will be the biggest-ever one made in India in terms of budget and cast. "We'll have big and fantastic star cast," the director adds, confirming that the film will be bigger than "Bahubali" and "Enthiran 2," which are being reportedly made with the budget of Rs. 130 crore and Rs. 350 crore, respectively.
The "Aranmanai" creator says that he feels honoured to be directing the 100th movie of Sri Thenandal Films. The project needs a lot of planning and he has been working on the film for over six months now. Simultaneously, hundreds of technicians are working on the film in the U.S., U.K, Denmark, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
As per the filmmaker, most big budget films see the remunerations of its actors forming 70 percent of its budget while only 30 percent goes into the production. But it is vice-versa in case of their forthcoming film.
Sundar C has signed up Sabu Cyril for art direction and Kamal Kannan to supervise CGI works.
When asked if he has signed up Suriya to play the lead role, Sundar C denied it and said that he will reveal all the details in a month. The movie will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Hence, talks are happening with artistes from all the three industries.
Sundar C added that the project will take two years to get completed and that he would not be doing any film in this period since he wants to have complete focus on the upcoming film.
Meanwhile, the Sundar C-starring "Muthina Kathirikai," which has also been produced by him, is all set for release on Friday, June 17. The movie has been written and directed by Venkat Raghavan. It is a political satire, which features Poonam Bajwa in the female lead role. Sathish, Kiran Rathod, VTV Ganesh, Singampuli and others form the rest of the cast.
