Having delivered a major box office hit with "Sultan," one would think Ali Abbas Zafar (the director) would take a break. But he's in no mood to sit back and has already begun work on his next, which, if all goes well, may star Sylvester Stallone and Salman Khan.
The rumours were triggered when Ali posted a picture on social media with the Hollywood actor that said: "Had a super inspiring talk with @TheSlyStallone just before starting @SultanTheMovie "Rocky" keep punching ."
Sources say Sylvester will play the titular role and his part in Ali's yet to be titled project will apparently be "larger-than-life." "Ali admires the actor and has discussed a few plots for the film during their recent meeting. However, nothing has been finalised as of now," a source informed Mid-Day.
Salman and Sylvester in one frame is going to be a film enthusiast's delight, but given how packed the Bollywood actor's calendar is, will he be able to make a full-fledged appearance or just stick to a cameo? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, the "Sultan" star is all set to begin Kabir Khan's next "Tubelight" on July 28. It is the filmmaker's third film with Salman after "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan," both of which were hits.
The strangest bit about the developments around the film is that the makers are yet to finalise a leading lady. Some say they are looking at roping in a Chinese actress, others speculate that it could be Deepika Padukone. However, Kabir denied the buzz saying he didn't discuss the project with the Bollywood actress.
Scheduled to open in theatres on Eid 2017, "Tubelight" also stars Sohail Khan.
