Stories of Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya teaming up for another film have been doing the round for a while, and the latest development on it is exciting. The superstar is gearing up to slip into his Prem avatar one more time, but he won't be serenading women anymore.
"Immediately after wrapping up his next, Salman will roll with this production sometime in October. A three-month shooting schedule is being planned. Both agree it is best for Salman to shed his romantic image. That's the reason he wants to play Prem as an action hero next," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Khan and Barjatya's last film together, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", did put up a good box-office show, but not many were impressed with it. The two have now been holding meetings every other night after the superstar packs up for the day.
"They have discussed an action drama and though Salman will once again play Prem, the film will not be about love," the insider added. Since they will produce film together, Khan wishes to tighten the schedule and lower the budget to ensure more returns. "PRDP" was shot in 200 days, which wasn't very ideal given the superstar's schedule.
In other news, the 50-year-old actor is busy with Ali Abbas Zafar's "Sultan", which also stars Anushka Sharma. Both play wrestlers in the film. The makers have released a bunch of training videos and snapshots of their workouts, which have gone viral on social media. The posters, too, are making waves and have got everyone talking. Slated for an Eid release, the action-drama may clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees."
